The Emajõgi River connects Lake Peipus and Lake Võrtsjärv and is the only fully navigable river in Estonia. The sound recordings were made in a place where the Emajõgi River passes through the Alam-Pedja nature reserve. In May, when these recordings were made, the Emajõgi River there had risen over the banks and flooded the meadows. For recordings, I have chosen the darkest time between 1 and 3 in the morning. Then there are the fewest sounds of human activity, the air is clean, and the soundscape is the most beautiful. This is the time when most of the forest birds are still sleeping, but life is boiling and buzzing in the water field of the Emajõgi River
